The Cottage

Coy Steading is centrally heated throughout so it is an extremely warm house whilst retaining the charm and character of an old building.

It can be adapted to suit any size of party up to 10 adults plus babies. Part of the house can be shut off to make it more cosy (and cheaper) for parties of 5 or less.

Couples also enjoy the space and are offered special rates.

Downstairs

The large fully equipped kitchen has a dining table which can be extended to seat 10. A high chair is also available.

The kitchen door opens out onto the front lawn and a beautiful view over the Deeside valley.

It includes everything we can think of: electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, radio and CD player. There is a freezer, washing machine, iron and ironing board in the utility room.

The downstairs bathroom is next to the kitchen. The bath is lovely and spacious and there’s plenty of hot water.

The twin room is at the back of the house. It has a wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside table.

The following three downstairs rooms are only available if renting the whole house:

The downstairs lounge has seating for eight. There is a TV and radio for your entertainment.

The downstairs single bedroom is very roomy and has a desk and built in wardrobes and shelves.

The master bedroom is a lovely sunny, spacious room with drawers, wardrobes, full length mirror. The en-suite has a shower, WC and basin.

The upstairs shower room has a WC, basin and shower.

There is access to the back garden and washing line through the back door from the utility.

The upstairs single bedroom has plenty of drawer space.

The double room is also upstairs and has built in wardrobe space and drawers. It looks out over the fields and woods at the back of the house.

Alternatively, it can be used as a further bedroom. There is a futon, z-bed and mattress available for use as well as a cot and travel cot.

There are plenty of toys, books and a play cooker to keep the kids happy.

The lounge is upstairs at the front of the house with great views over Deeside. It comfortably seats 8 people.

The gas fire adds warmth and a welcoming glow to the room (there is a fire guard available for use with small children).

There is a TV and video player. The full stereo unit has a few CDs and cassettes for your use.

A further bookcase in the hall has a selection of books. There are also some games available.

The playroom is only accessible to those renting the full house.

A bookcase full of videos to suit all ages and tastes is outside on the landing.

Upstairs

In the kitchen there is a folder of tourism leaflets and information about the area to help plan your stay.

It is accessed by a 2nd set of stairs next to the master bedroom.
